Hello!

I am extremely excited to be applying to the Multimedia Graphic Design Manager position at The Everygirl Media Group. I Have been a long-time fan of The Everygirl and it would be incredible to be a part of a company that is producing such meaningful, creative work that benefits so many. I first discovered The Everygirl when I moved to Chicago in 2014, and even found my first job in Chicago through The Everygirl’s job board. My life and career have grown a lot since finding that first Chicago job, and I’m so excited to grow even more with the possibility of this opportunity.

I am currently the Graphic Designer for The Mom Project, a mission-driven organization that helps women find flexible work opportunities and equips them with the tools they need to thrive in working motherhood. I’ve been with The Mom Project for two years, and have watched the start-up grow from 40 employees to nearly 200. I was the first graphic designer that The Mom Project brought in-house, and we now have a mighty design team of 3 marketing designers and 2 product designers. I have the privilege of managing our junior designer, which has been a highlight of my time at The Mom Project. In addition to my management responsibilities, I was responsible for designing, developing and implementing new brand guidelines and redesigned The Mom Project’s website to the site that you see today. I’ve had the opportunity to art direct photoshoots and video shoots and I work closely with our Social Media Manager, Demand Gen Manager and Content Managers to produce on-brand and engaging collateral across sales materials, event assets, landing pages, emails, digital ads and more.

Prior to my position at The Mom Project, I was the Multimedia Designer for Intelligentsia Coffee, where I managed all aspects of the design process. From product packaging, to merchandise design, social media graphics, digital ads and in-store signage.

I have a strong passion for design and pride myself on being a creative problem solver. I’m always looking to grow and learn, and because of my growth mindset I went back to school in 2016 to receive my Masters Degree in Graphic Design and Web Design from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

I believe that my combination of project management, creative expertise, and team management skills would enable me to succeed in the Multimedia Graphic Design Manager position at The Everygirl. I look forward to the possibility of speaking with your team further about my experience and the opportunity.

Thank you!
